In the year following our wedding, Imogen and I found ourselves at odds, our love tested by the weight of crowns and choices. Her brilliance shone in decisions like reorganizing Drylliad's grain stores or planning a festival to lift spirits, but others-like a risky trade deal or reducing border patrols-faltered, leaving me to mend the fallout. Without hesitation Lord Dracula is prepared to trade her for his son, but an encounter with the werewolves will lead to complications...some Eyra has not foreseen.

While usually classified as a comedy, four of William Shakespeare's plays can be classified as romances: The Tempest, Pericles, The Winter's Tale, and Cymbeline. Occasionally, Cymbeline is classified as a history, since the title character was based on Cunobeline King of the Britons during pre-Roman British History from late first century BC until early 40's AD. However, the romance genre of Shakespeare's day is entirely different from the romance genre of today. In actuality, the romance of Shakespeare's day would be called a fantasy today. Cymbeline is a story with many plots and subplots, strong characters, and the supernatural. It is also a prototype of melodrama. So sit back. Enjoy the plotting. Relish in the characterization. And try not to get too confused.

Kansas is far from Imogen's dream-place to live. It's cold; it's flat; it's boring; and it's Colorado's often overlooked next-door-neighbor. All events from the Trials of Apollo are excluded from this story. Please note, I began this story 2 years ago, my writing has changed significantly and so has my final plan for the narrative. Good luck getting through the first few chapters the writing is terrible.
