This is a Poem about waiting. I wrote this as a graduate having been umeployed for about 2 years, studying for Masters to best use the time. I was living with my boyfriend whose job took up most of his time.

We were always told that the world stopped for no one or nothing, but they were wrong. The world has stopped leaving us stranded in our own solitude. The only thing that continues to move is the hands on the clock ticking its hours away from us, and all we can do is wait for the future to return to normal.

Falling out of the habit is followed by the unexpected. You have to take one step at a time, yet adjust your rhythm to the person you share the journey with.
