Once a bright-eyed, cheerful girl, Rebecca's world was turned upside down when she was involved in a car crash that killed her dad. As she watched the life of her father drained from his eyes, she was plagued with a different kind of trauma-seeing the dead. Now with just her very distant mom, they navigate daily with silence and avoidance.
Freen, on the other hand, is loud and fierce. As someone who was dealing with the paranormal since she was a kid, Freen was well accustomed to life of being able to be touched and spoken to by spirits lingering out of the corners. Their screams for help and relief of their souls became a norm close to nuisance. With late night classes and extreme pressure on her senior year of Architecture, she tries to deal with her extraordinary abilities while also surviving her senior year's mounting responsibilities.
This is a short story where a traumatized girl learns to face her fears for and from the one who experiences it daily.
