In an attempt to find out what happened to his brother, after mysteriously vanishing from the face of the earth, Murat Vera goes in without much of a plan. He is, however, determined to find out what really happened and who it was his brother was running from. But what happens when an executive order, drafted by the Crown Prince himself, keeps him from escaping Dubai and therefore, making the emirate he has foot on, his prison? Will it restore their bond and draw them closer?...Or, will it further drive them apart?

Sometimes you want to runaway, escape. Other times the problem isn't YOUR life but life in general. We put a lot of pressure on ourselves, expectations on each other, project judgments, high standards and overtime have created a society which has various rules, recommendations and regulations. We've defined what we think is 'normal' and created huge pressured to conform to that. It's amicable in a way, those who are prepared to be different, live a different lifestyle, break the mould and push boundaries. This one's about wanting to be free - enjoy!

Had he believed the lies that were told? Did he completely hate her now, as she had been told? She still hadn't seen him, though her eyes never gave up their search. Questions were racing through her mind, none had answers. Her heart completely stopped as gray met green. ___________ They didn't know their names, only what they were called by the Guards. They didn't know anything about themselves, only their basic information, weight, height, their score, but they only needed to remember that when they were called for evaluation. The government wanted that way, they didn't need any questions asked unless they wanted them to be asked. This was a test, which only the smartest could pass. That's why chaos ensued after the first person went to eval and didn't return. [Highest rank: #1 in expression] I was in a bad place when I wrote these poems. Read at your own risk. Now I just look back and admire my rhyming skills though. All of these poems and quotes are thought up by me. I made them up from scratch and it is completely coincidental if it resembles something you have seen before. She asked the man who took her from her home and brought her to place that is surrounded by a very big forest. "Love I know that you know about the night creatures. I am one o those beings I'm a wolf and my love is what we call a mate, my other half." "You're a what?! And I'm your mate?!" Then she fainted. "I'm so sorry love but you are never leaving this place or me not even death will do as part." He whispered to her then carried her to the house where he will keep her forever.

A baby? On a battlefield? Marcus is a clerk in the Imperial army. When he finds an abandoned baby on a battlefield, he has no idea what to do with her. His best friend is no help; he thinks Marcus is a sucker for taking the kid in. The slave who ends up babysitting the child is no better; she thinks Marcus has ulterior motives - bad ones. Not only that, but two mysterious female assassins appear on the scene. Whether they intend to harm the baby or protect her, Marcus isn't sure. It doesn't help that the assassins have magical cloaks that allow them to turn into birds at any time. Marcus and his friends soon find themselves caught up in things they doesn't understand: the child has some connection to an ancient prophecy, one that could have implications for fate of the Empire itself.

Just a little piece that I drafted a while back. This was originally supposed to be an introduction to a novel but by then I had shifted gears and crafted something completely different. Isn't it astounding how much your story can change, huh? Regardless, I decided to post this here for feedback on whether you guys think that this would make for a solid intro for any future works I might do later on.
