Charlie's always been a quiet girl, being home-schooled for your entire school career doesn't exactly give you people skills, and the fact that she's an only child makes her dependence on her parents embarrassingly obvious. So when four boys show up on her doorstep, soaking wet and very much in need of a place to stay, she's at a complete loss for what to do. In the end, Charlie's kind heart wins over logic, and the boys end up staying for two days and then disappearing, never to cross paths with Charlie again. Or so they all thought... Years later, now a big time rock band, the boys are shocked to find a pale, thin, and sick Charlie at their door. They can't bring themselves to let go of her, afraid of what might happen to her all alone on the streets of New York city. So they take her in, and as Charlie heals, she is swept up into a hurricane of fame, love, and the wondrous world of punk rock.
