This poem might be a little different from what you expect from me. I was told that poems don't always have to rhyme so fluidly. These are the free flow variety. I was inspired by a dream moments ago and knew I had to share before it fades from my mind. I wrote this to serve as a memory of something with profound meaning. I think it's time to start listening to what the universe is telling me.

The title explains all

The definition of perfect in the dictionary is, “entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings.” So I am still in awe at how you could have so many flaws, so many little errors, but still be so breathtakingly perfect. Life couldn’t tell you to do this and be this because you defied life, you set your own rules, and I guess one of those rules was being perfect even with flaws. -An excerpt of Flaw

Samantha and Ian - they couldn't have been happier together as a couple. But with his parents being against their relationship and threatening to ruin the life of the girl he loves most, Ian is devastated. Left with no choice, he decides to break it off with her. [On hold indefinitely] The Scientists have taught Sera two things: first, her kind is the future of human evolution; second, they are always right. She finds herself unable to go home following the death of her mother, and the only other place to go is with Oliver. Staying with Oliver not only gives her a chance to have a home away from home, but a chance to find out more about herself and the Scientists from his younger sister, Calliope. But that "home" gets messy when the boy from her mind starts appearing in real life. All wars are over possession, and with the Scientists fighting for Sera, can anyone else possibly win?

Aspen Schaffer, a middle school math teacher, needs a change. Not from teaching of course, just from the expensive city she lives in, the constant family drama, and the despair of still being single, not getting anywhere closer to meeting a good guy. Taking a job at a school across the country seems like a good reprieve, and as she meets people her outlook on life, on men, and on herself begins to change. Lots of humor and funny moments mixed in.
