Lola Haze - yup, that's my name, a super fucking sizzling hot name that would make Vladimir come in his pants just for thinking my name( trust me, it was the reason why he used Lolita instead because coming and writing is quite the Herculean task, don't you think?) Too bad he's not alive right now because one look at my plainy-Janey features and he's dingaling would drop like a poor soggy banana. Not that I'm that bad-looking but I'm the cockblock beside your typical female protagonist with the sarcasm, imperfectly perfect features, kindness, humor, love of sports and nerdy games and ughhhh Emily, y u so perf?!!!!

Aspen Schaffer, a middle school math teacher, needs a change. Not from teaching of course, just from the expensive city she lives in, the constant family drama, and the despair of still being single, not getting anywhere closer to meeting a good guy. Taking a job at a school across the country seems like a good reprieve, and as she meets people her outlook on life, on men, and on herself begins to change. Lots of humor and funny moments mixed in.

I wrote this thinking about how many are left insecure because of the high standards and expectations of the world. Most of us have struggling with feeling inadequate and 'not good enough.' because of the perfect image we feel we must aspire to be. I feel that the uniqueness of each person in the world is just amazing - but many people don't see their wonderful qualities due to scorn and prejudice. It's sad. What I really want is more kindness to be spread among the world - it seems there is just never enough. And it's needed almost more than anything else.
