In a perfect world, where would you be?

Em sighs, shutting my journal. "You know," she mumbles, beginning to pace around the room. "You can't ask for everything. You want everything to be your way. That's just too much. " she walks over to the shredder and hold the journal above it. Dangling it from only two fingers. I cover my mouth. "You wouldn't!" I whisper. I stand up, dashing over and reaching out to grab it. She shrugs and let's go just in time for me to grab at the air. I stare at the shredder, listening to it's gnawing noise, not knowing what to do next. Em breaks the silence. "You can't have everything, Riley. You need to learn that. This just isn't a perfect world. "

Mackenzie Wright is your average 14 year old girl. Well you would think. Mackenzie (demandingly known as Kenzie by those who don't mess with her) is a fiesty, boy hating, snob hating... Human hater! Totally anti-social and depressing. Kenzie is a Tomboy, in fact she is actually pretty emo (standing for emotional, yeah not stereotypicallly labelled, another thing she hates too). In a perfect world she were rich and could fit in, just like the girl that ditched her.

"Colorblind" is a poem that portrays the contrasting ideas of what the world is like today, and what it would be if it were "perfect".
