'I blame Mello for the first time I went to prison, and I'm pretty sure he's about to land me back there.' Matt POV. Very strong references to drug use and some references to violence and death. A bit dark. Mostly focused on Matt, his back story and his dependance on Mello/drugs.

"Trapped Inside" is more than a prison story - it's a raw, unfiltered dive into the mind of a man fighting for freedom, not just from a cell, but from his past. Through shifting perspectives and layered realities, we follow Profile - a name whispered through the walls, a man wrapped in myth. From concrete beds and courtroom tension to storytelling circles with grandchildren years later, the journey is laced with pain, growth, and the unspoken codes of survival. But this isn't just his story. It's a mirror for anyone battling inner demons, chasing redemption, or holding onto hope in the darkest places. Told with grit, soul, and vulnerability, "Trapped Inside" is a powerful reflection on transformation, loyalty, and the legends we leave behind.

From age three to thirteen, Liz Coleman had learned to trust and adore her lifetime friend, Zero Dominus, who also happens to not only be six years older than her but is also the religiously prophesied anti-Christ. That same year, Zero grew exceedingly jealous of Liz's love interest, Nawaf, who returned her affections. His anger opened a fiery wound in the Earth: A portal to Hell. Eventually, Liz and her friends, Nawaf and Hope, escaped from Hell, leaving Zero behind unintentionally. A year later, while everyone else on Earth fails to recall any kind of paranormal memories, Liz finds herself without the ability to eat, sleep, or focus due to the memories of watching her best friend be consumed by the fires of Hell. She is engulfed in guilt and depression until discovering Zero's soul taking possession of a dead man by the name of Leo. Once he confessed his identity, expecting rejection, Liz took him back home, hoping life would continue as it did before Hell intervened. That is surely not the case. Zero is still trapped inside the body of Leo and Liz still suffers from the recollections of eternally dying spirits and nearly losing her best friend forever, who she is believing to be falling in love with. In the midst of trying to figure out whether to abandon their feelings for each other or succumb to desire, Liz, Zero, and their friends Hope, Nawaf, and DJ are all abducted by the FBI for paranormal suspicions that may connect to the fall of society. Zero is targeted while Liz is interrogated. All are isolated and focused on like ants in an Ant Farm. Zero admits defeat to a fate behind bars rather than a fate in Hell, but Liz refuses defeat. She conflicts between two desires, and will finally begin to realize how to overcome her demons and Zero's.

Ranked as high as #195 in Support | The 'Where is Uncle?' series of children's picture books are designed to help young children that are impacted by the criminal justice system and incarceration. The current books address the issues of wrongful conviction and prison visitation. If you believe that these books could benefit someone in your life or your local library's collection, please spread the word or even consider gifting/donating a book today. What matters to me is getting these critical stories into the hands of the kids that need them. (c) 2018, 2019 Christiane Joy Allison Illustrations (c) 2018, 2019 Liz Shine Editing by Joy Anne Vaughn

---------“Pride comes before the fall, and then comes wisdom”----------- The son of anti-Communist dissidents in Romania, his first memory as a child was surviving an assassination attempt by Ceausescu's secret police, the Securitate. This grim introduction to the harsh realities of life led to P's unforgiving attitude towards society and towards authority in particular. After his family’s immigration to Toronto, Canada, P began his dark descent into a world where theft, violence, and murder all stain the same dollar bill. This autobiographical account of a once-happy boy turned school drop-out, cold-hearted drug dealer, and inmate of TYAC, Canada’s most notorious youth detention facility, will take you deep into the recesses of Western society. P’s rare first-hand account will have you questioning human nature and our concept of justice and criminal rehabilitation.
