Growing up with an incarcerated parent could very well be called an adverse childhood, but when you go through it only you truly know the pain it can inflict. Here lies my journey through family difficulty and an absent dark mysteryious silhouette of a man that should have been my father growing up.

From age three to thirteen, Liz Coleman had learned to trust and adore her lifetime friend, Zero Dominus, who also happens to not only be six years older than her but is also the religiously prophesied anti-Christ. That same year, Zero grew exceedingly jealous of Liz's love interest, Nawaf, who returned her affections. His anger opened a fiery wound in the Earth: A portal to Hell. Eventually, Liz and her friends, Nawaf and Hope, escaped from Hell, leaving Zero behind unintentionally. A year later, while everyone else on Earth fails to recall any kind of paranormal memories, Liz finds herself without the ability to eat, sleep, or focus due to the memories of watching her best friend be consumed by the fires of Hell. She is engulfed in guilt and depression until discovering Zero's soul taking possession of a dead man by the name of Leo. Once he confessed his identity, expecting rejection, Liz took him back home, hoping life would continue as it did before Hell intervened. That is surely not the case. Zero is still trapped inside the body of Leo and Liz still suffers from the recollections of eternally dying spirits and nearly losing her best friend forever, who she is believing to be falling in love with. In the midst of trying to figure out whether to abandon their feelings for each other or succumb to desire, Liz, Zero, and their friends Hope, Nawaf, and DJ are all abducted by the FBI for paranormal suspicions that may connect to the fall of society. Zero is targeted while Liz is interrogated. All are isolated and focused on like ants in an Ant Farm. Zero admits defeat to a fate behind bars rather than a fate in Hell, but Liz refuses defeat. She conflicts between two desires, and will finally begin to realize how to overcome her demons and Zero's.

the thoughts of a caged human

One night, a young man wakes up in an empty room. He looks around, but he doesn't recognize his surroundings. Where is he? Why is he here? Who is he? Why couldn't he remember anything? Then he hears the squeaking sound of an old wooden door. He sees a figure. It is a beautiful young woman. She smiles, "You're finally awake. Do you remember anything?" The young man shook his head, but the questions have been burning on his tongue. He couldn't resist it, so he asks, "Who am I?" She gracefully and silently walks toward him, "You're Micah, my child." Since that day, Micah slowly learned how to live in the darkness with his "siblings" and his "mother". They couldn't go outside and she provided everything they needed. But one day, she disappeared, leaving them all alone. Starved and afraid, they broke the rules and went outside. It is the same day that they learned what they really are. They call them Vampires. Decades later, Micah is always on the road looking for new preys. He never shows any interest in men until he gets an offer he cannot refuse. This is how he meets the man that will change his life. Avery Davis is invisible and she likes it that way. To be invisible is to be safe. Safe from the opinions and the past. The past is bad, the future is worse. Avery had always tried to not be like her brothers. After her father left them and subsequently died they had turned to violence and drugs to cope. Avery was determined to be different. But after a series of bad choices sends her to juvie she has to reflect on her life and delve into the past if she is to have any chance of making it out on the other side.

While navigating the troubled waters of illegal jobs, college, and family, Alexa and her brother Seth become entangled in a dark world they never thought they'd be a part of. That dark world leads to the incarceration of the brother-sister duo, but that doesn't stop them from doing whatever it takes to free themselves from the clutches of corrupt agents and rogue bounty hunters looking to hit pay-dirt by silencing them. Her brother and some pals put in motion a series of elaborate plans to break out in a desperate attempt to free an innocent man who was wrongly accused of committing a heinous crime, sentenced to be executed soon. With the help of some folks on the outside, and some crooked people on the inside looking for a pay raise, their escape goes off without a hitch. Once out of prison, their perils aren't even close to being over. The group must flee with the help of a few trustworthy connections in order to avoid recapture, all while being forced to battle an intricate political conspiracy that puts everyone's life at risk. Life's hard enough as it is, but to make matters worse, a love triangle forms, and the man Alexa chooses might soon be behind bars again.
