The 2nd wizarding world war was won, though not without a lot of loss, Harry was exhausted, finally having the time to realize that Dumbledore didn't care, he had been used left and right, and Dumbledore was at majority fault, he ended up in the forbidden forest, he didn't know when or how he got there, only that now he was in a small clearing surrounded by trees, the sky dark, he ended up falling asleep.. and he when he awoke again he was back in his cupboard? it was the day of the zoo outing.. so it wasn't a dream.. but how did he end up back in time? who cares, all he knew is that he was going to change things.
