Luis always believed that success was simply a matter of hard work and study. That was until he met Laura and realized that love is the only subject you can't pass with an exam. Between the hallways of the school elite and the stigma of Class D, a story of boycotts, unexpected kisses, and the struggle to stop being the "dreamer" who only watches from the window unfolds. Because sometimes, to save someone else, you first have to learn how to save yourself from your own fears.

What makes someone good? What gives them the right to call themselves a hero? Is it how they are kind to a random person? How they don't turn their back on someone in need? Or is it because, they protect us from villains? How can we tell which one we will be? If we were destined to fight the darkness? Or just embrace it? How can I decide if this course is the one I need.

Savannah Leitner started high school thinking she would fly by with only her impressive academics to show. She thought she would spend her four years in science, math and even history. She promised to leave the days behind her where she could not stop competing with everyone in the world around her. The first day of soccer tryouts were the beginning of her falling back into her old arrogant ways that she wanted so badly to leave behind. Savannah then found herself in her last months of high school having impressive grades, the star spot on the varsity soccer team, and a full ride to Stanford. In her eyes, her arrogance was again understandable. But, in another's eyes, it was going to be her downfall. It would be too late for Savannah to change, and the drastic changes that were bound to follow in the wake of that will be ones no eighteen year old girl with Savannah's bright future should have to experience. But, sometimes the greatest futures come from the biggest falls. Who said making the right choice was easy?

I started to write poetry to get me through some difficult years as a teenager and young adult. Looking back, writing helped me through a period of depression, only recognized some years later. With writing, once the words hit the paper, they lost their internal, emotional power, with thoughts and feelings no longer holding me to ransom. I've been writing ever since, every time something has stirred me emotionally, be it personal or from a bystander's view and now, hitting 40, I wanted to share it with the world in the hope that it is relatable, and shows how writing can be a useful self-help tool. Covering a range of topics written through a range of emotion there is something for everyone in this first short book, with future books focusing in more depth on some of the themes covered.

Maya never wanted anything but a normal life. It seemed that it wasn't possible. When her parents divorced, she was forced to make a choice, a choice to stay with her mother or father. Or rather, a choice to go to a new world or stay. Maya knew what she wanted, she wanted to leave, leave this small town in the middle of nowhere for a future. A future she has dreamed about, it was all she ever wanted. A normal life in a city. But there was just one complication, Kaydon, the new kid in town, wasn't willing to let Maya leave him, not after all he has been through, not after he finally found her. After all, Kaydon was like the flame, he could warm her, heal her, but he could also burn her. Destroy her. ... This story is co-authored between me (Solstice Y_A_Z_) and YaffYayLol. The prologue and odd number chapters are written by me, the even number chapters are by her. You can find her main page at wattpad.com/user/YaffYayLol
