8 year-old Emily Jewett has never know the world of sound. That's because she was born deaf. But, her dream is to become a musician just like her mother who often plays the piano for Emily, letting her "listen" to music through vibration. One day, her mother falls ill, leaving the family in depression. Emily's father then bands music from her home for the sorrow of her mothers illness. However, Emily discovers a music theater near her home. And at night, escapes to listen to the music. She is then caught, but instead of punishment she is shown a path to what may lead her to an expedition of a life time.
