This is the story of Ian an American boy who is struggling to find the love of his life until he met.. --- Her soft cheek pressed against his, the warmth of her breath grazing the side of his neck. Her hair fell like a curtain around them, strands brushing his skin. And then that scent-sweet, fresh, strawberry-wrapped around him, dizzying and soft and utterly unforgettable. When she finally looked up, her face was only inches from his. Her eyes-wide, startled, beautiful-met his, and in that one glance, something shifted inside him. Something deep. Something he couldn't name. His heartbeat pounded in his ears. His breathing turned shallow. What is happening to me? The heat that rushed through him was unreal. He couldn't tell whether it was panic or something else entirely. "Oh God... is this a heart attack?" his mind screamed. "What is this? Someone-please-help me!" Naina quickly pulled away, her face flushed with embarrassment. "I'm so sorry!" she said, avoiding his gaze as she dusted herself off. "I didn't mean to-I just... Are you okay?" "I-yeah," Ian stammered, trying to sound casual, trying not to look like his soul had just been knocked out of orbit. "I'm... good. Don't worry." Good? He felt like he had just touched fire and ice at the same time. Like the earth had tilted beneath him and nothing was steady anymore. "Okay... take care then. See you tomorrow." And just like that, she walked away. He just sat there, eyes fixed on her fading figure, the echo of her scent still lingering in the air. "What... was all this?" he whispered to himself, staring into nothing. "What am I feeling? Why does being near her feel like this... like everything inside me is trying to say something I don't understand?" "If I keep feeling this way, I'll go crazy." Unbeknownst to her, her perfect match according to the algorithms is Hollywood's bad boy, Asher Gasko. "Do you want me to stop?" "No," I whispered, barely audible. He grinned, brushing his lips in a feather-light touch against my jaw. "Sorry, I didn't catch that." "No," I said, louder this time, and willed my heart to beat slower. "Say that again," He tells me, kissing the pulse point on my neck. "No," I breathed out, almost begging him. I felt him smile against my neck as he pressed another kiss at the base of throat, barely restrained. "One more time." I pulled his face up to mine, looking him dead in the eyes. "Don't stop." -------- Rahul can't believe his oldest sister is getting married to her med school classmate, a man he's never met, and he's not thrilled, for a number of reasons, the biggest one being the groom-to-be's youngest sister, Indu. Indu, who skipped a grade, is at the top of her class, can play the drums and guitar, is the star of her soccer and swim team, is an amazing dancer, and if that wasn't enough, fluent in four languages (and getting there with four others). In short, she drives him crazy. Sure, everyone thinks she's every immigrant's dream child, but only Rahul sees her for what she really is: a jerk. Indu knows she makes people turn heads, but not always for the best reasons. Despite everything she does to draw attention away from it, it seems like people aren't super into the idea of a teenage girl being 6'3", especially her mother and all the other aunties around her. Not matter how many games she wins, no matter how many perfect scores she brings home, it's never enough to distract her mother from the fact that she's not the daughter she wanted. She puts up with a lot, so when she meets Rahul, she's not about to take crap from someone else, and definitely not from a boy three inches shorter than her.
