Five years ago, Hitesh traded the golden sunsets of Newport Beach for a suitcase and a dream, leaving behind a shattered heart and a strained relationship with his mother. Now, the beautiful game is calling him home. Hitesh is about to sign his first professional contract with Newport Blaze, and while the stadium lights are bright, the ghosts of his past are a little brighter. This isn't just about the 90 minutes on the pitch; it's about the life he left in the midfield. The playbook for a new beginning was set in motion. Every sprint and every goal for the Newport Blaze is a step closer to his ultimate north star, playing under the lights at Anfield for Liverpool FC. On the home front, with no more oceans between them, Hitesh is ready to sub back into his mother's life, trading long-distance static for Sunday dinners and much-needed healing. And returning to Newport Beach makes one thing clear, it's only a matter of time before he crosses paths with the girl who once broke his heart. So will it be a red card moment, or the start of a legendary comeback? With a whistle in his ear and the Southern California breeze at his back, Hitesh is realizing that sometimes you have to return to where you started to finally move forward. It's going to be a season of high stakes, beachside banter, and the kind of goals that happen off the scoreboard.

"Do you want me to stop?" "No," I whispered, barely audible. He grinned, brushing his lips in a feather-light touch against my jaw. "Sorry, I didn't catch that." "No," I said, louder this time, and willed my heart to beat slower. "Say that again," He tells me, kissing the pulse point on my neck. "No," I breathed out, almost begging him. I felt him smile against my neck as he pressed another kiss at the base of throat, barely restrained. "One more time." I pulled his face up to mine, looking him dead in the eyes. "Don't stop." -------- Rahul can't believe his oldest sister is getting married to her med school classmate, a man he's never met, and he's not thrilled, for a number of reasons, the biggest one being the groom-to-be's youngest sister, Indu. Indu, who skipped a grade, is at the top of her class, can play the drums and guitar, is the star of her soccer and swim team, is an amazing dancer, and if that wasn't enough, fluent in four languages (and getting there with four others). In short, she drives him crazy. Sure, everyone thinks she's every immigrant's dream child, but only Rahul sees her for what she really is: a jerk. Indu knows she makes people turn heads, but not always for the best reasons. Despite everything she does to draw attention away from it, it seems like people aren't super into the idea of a teenage girl being 6'3", especially her mother and all the other aunties around her. Not matter how many games she wins, no matter how many perfect scores she brings home, it's never enough to distract her mother from the fact that she's not the daughter she wanted. She puts up with a lot, so when she meets Rahul, she's not about to take crap from someone else, and definitely not from a boy three inches shorter than her.

My story with the characters :) Neha, an Indian American girl, has lost everything-most of all, her passions and her voice. After the death of her parents, she moves to rural Texas, feeling adrift from the person she once was. However, she keeps running into Cole. No matter where she goes, he seems to be there, challenging her at every turn. Though his arrogance nature gets under her skin, he's the only one she finds herself willing to open up to. Can she let down her guard and allow this annoying man into her heart? Cole Walters seems to have it all-he's popular, handsome, and the star quarterback of the high school football team. But he only cares about two things: football and himself. When a new girl unexpectedly moves into his house, he's irritated. His once-perfect life is suddenly disrupted, and he's no longer the center of attention. In a bid to regain control, Cole bets his friends that he can make the new girl confess her feelings for him. But as things unfold, nothing goes as planned. Will the two finally work things out? Author's Note: This story is being written and heavily rewritten. There may be some chapters with considerable changes.
