A fictional retelling of Indian subcontinent if certain events rolled out differently. For too long, the narrative of India has been etched in the iron of colonization, partition, and struggle against an overwhelming tide. We remember the battles lost, the famines endured, the suppressions resisted. But what if, at a critical juncture, a whisper became a shout, a quiet act of defiance redirected the mighty currents of fate? What if the path we know as inevitable was merely one among infinite possibilities, a single, dominant song drowning out the symphony of what might have been? This book is an invitation to listen to those unheard melodies.

The sum and substance of this political zero sum game is that it not only hinders the entry of the Musalman into the national mainstream but also stymies his personal well-being through ghettoized thinking. That Muslims should fall prey to this Machiavellian deception packaged as secularism for electoral consumption is the bane of the Indian democracy. It's thus; the cynical secularism of the self-serving politicians that won't allow us to inculcate the spirit and aspirations common to us as the citizens of the whole of India is the hurdle to our nationalism.

Porus or Poros, was a king of the Pauravas, whose territory spanned the region between the Hydaspes (River of Jhelum) and Acesines (Chenab River), in what is now the Punjabi region of the Indian Subcontinent. He is credited to have been a legendary warrior with exceptional skills. Porus fought against Alexander the great in the Battle of the Hydaspes, thought to be fought at the site of modern-day Mong, Punjab, Pakistan. Though not recorded in any available ancient Indian source, Ancient Greek historians describe the battle and the aftermath of Alexander's victory. After the defeat and arrest of Porus in the war, Alexander asked Porus how he would like to be treated. Porus, although defeated, being a valiant, proud king, demanded that he be treated like a king. Alexander was reportedly so impressed by his adversary that he not only reinstated him as a satrap of his own kingdom, but also granted him dominion over lands to the south-east extending until the Hyphasis.
