This short story is set in 1950, India, in a small hill station known as Chail in Himachal Pradesh. A Horror story that also gives a glimpse of the lives of people in the hills. Its my first attempt to write a story. Naresh Sharma, 30 year old advocate, comes all the way from New Delhi to meet his 70 year old bedridden client Ashutosh Mehra. Naresh's father Amit Sharma was a corporate lawyer who worked with Ashutosh Mehra for 20 years until his death due to cancer. But a small hill station like Chail couldnt support Naresh's sky high ambitions and therefore he decided to move to the capital of the country with his widowed mother. On the other hand, Ashutosh was disappointed with Naresh's decision which he took some 3 years back . Ashutosh, has a tea and coffee estate, he is rich and lives in a spacious, luxurious bungalow. But he has no family except an old, obedient servant who has witnessed every aspect of Ashutosh's life. Ashutosh knows that he will not survive, all his organs are failing one after another and he doesn't have any heir too and so one morning he calls Naresh and asks him to come to Chail to his bungalow regarding it but the bungalow is hiding many secrets under its expensive carpets, behind its costly, silky curtains which when disclosed will turn Naresh's life upside down. What is the house hiding from Naresh ? Read to find out.

"Two Incomplete Lives" is a poignant tale of Vidya Ji and Mohan Ji, two elderly souls brought together by the harsh realities of abandonment and loneliness. Vidya Ji, left in an old age home by her son, struggles with the pain of separation and the hope of his return. Mohan Ji, who has faced a similar fate, becomes her companion, offering solace and understanding. This heartwarming story beautifully captures the essence of human connection, selfless love, and the quiet courage it takes to start anew, even when life feels incomplete.

Some stories are never told out loud. I met them in passing - in hospital rooms, on lonely benches, in tear-filled silences. They never spoke much, but I heard everything. This is a story of love that doesn't need words. Of a daughter holding her father's pain like armor... Of a boy who stayed when no one else did. This is not just their story. It's a reflection of all of us-of the strength we hide, and the love we carry quietly. Silence of Strength: The Weight of Love A journey through untold emotions and unseen warriors. 🌿💔🕊️
