A returning war veteran and a small-town rancher come face to face after seven long years apart, and sparks will fly! Will it ignite a burning passion or start a fire that burns everything they love to the ground? --------------------------- Jake is left disabled after his last tour overseas, but his newfound freedom away from the military gives him a chance to return home to Audrey, the girl who got away seven years ago. Audrey, who between keeping the ranch afloat and fighting off oilmen, hasn't thought much about men, let alone Jake Henderson, for a long time. So when he shows up uninvited in her somewhat peaceful life, what is she to do? Will Audrey be able to forgive Jake for abandoning her when she needed him most, and will Jake be strong enough to overcome both the physical and mental wounds that burden him? ---------------------------- Join me on a journey of exploring a relationship between two passionate and strong-willed people pursuing their dreams and one another, working to find a balance between love and freedom. Set in rural small-town America, this will be a story filled with hope, loss, courage, and the will to find a way where there isn't one.

'Who You Right Tell Me Should I Be Told' -He, the Bard. These poems of mine describe what I daringly define as complexity of honesty. Words to me are like a cup of hot chocolate: they are supposed to be drunk and tasted. Then, you let your own tongue decide whether you like it, hate it or whether it reminds you of something you have tasted before. For me, writing is like hunting after both the minds of my own and others; not logical ones, of course, but the ones that are active, constantly changing, and most of the time, complicated. I use writing as a means of making sense of my emotions, of how I am, and how everybody else is. It's my way to making sense of life. So, this is my existence now, my complicated and on searching 'self', dwelling within a few pages you are about to read. Does not seem like a lifetime to you but this is just what word does, it contain multitudes, like what Walt Whitman once said. The choice is yours now, my dear friends. Read it or leave it. Either way, I hope my words here and there speak to you somehow. IG : he.the.bard https://charlottesville.guide/spotlight-on-inspiring-charlottesvillians-hethebard/

"But, how did you do it, Kaka?" I asked, unable to sustain my curiosity. "Well, if you insist." he said, "I take a big sip of the chaha before climbing up the stairs, then after reaching the top, I put it back." *** It's summer.
