Vandana Nair was gruelling through her third year of hotel management. What does she finally want to be? She was clueless herself. Truth be told, she felt that this whole thing was a mistake (Add that to her long list of other blunders). She shouldn't be here in this Bootcamp called 'Bachelor of Hotel Management'. But she was, all thanks to Mathematics. Numbers and the dreaded "find x,y,z" always did things to her brain. Make it smoke, for instance? And then simply shut down. So, she did her best to stay away from anything that looked and smelt like Maths. She wouldn't even touch it with a ten-foot pole. BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)? Nope. Too much of unnecessary calculations. Things that a computer should be doing. B.Sc. Microbiology? Not any better. BBM (Bachelor of Business Management)? It reeks of Finance. Stay away! BA Journalism? Nope. Don't want to be a journalist. BHM (Bachelor of Hotel Management)? Hang on. Now, that looks interesting. And no maths. Learning to be a professional cook should be great as well. Into her second year, she figured out that horrible truth: there was no escaping from Maths. It was everywhere. Even in goddamned hell. It was here too rearing up its ugly hood in the name of 'Accounting & Finance'. Should have thought about it before. You can't be a manager or a hotel baron without knowing the numbers. Late realization and... dramatic sigh... trapped for good. Now what? Somehow plough through to the fourth and final year? Or just dropout and start over again? Wait and watch. Anyhow, one thing was guaranteed. With so many fun (and ahem, ahem, gorgeous) people around, the guilt of her blunder was less excruciating. Join Vandana as she takes this fun & harrowing (hopefully not) experience through graduation. Note: The book will mostly be comprised of one, two or three shots showcasing her experiences. Have fun!

Rajshree Anand is also mostly like your average teenage girl unless you count in her immoderately frank and excessively bold nature. How is she going to live with the societal standards which she finds absolutely absurd? Will she be successful in changing the people's frame of mind while also juggling her own private life with solving the problems of people around her or will she also be oppressed by the so called impeccable society to the point where she gives up? What happens when insecurities, torment and most importantly a BOY are thrown into the picture? Peep in to see if Rajshree changes the preposterous norms of the society which have been blindly followed by us hitherto. *NOTE* The characters in this book are purely fictional and I apologize in advance if at all the content offends anyone. Plagiarism will strictly NOT be encouraged.

"I bet you heard things floating around," she said out of the blue. "Like what?" He asked after a brief pause. "Like there's stuff going on between us?" She paused to note the look on his face, whether he had any clue about it, and if he felt awkward about it. "I want you to know that it's all rubbish. We're good friends and that's it. I never had any wrong intentions. I only chose that song because... because it's a great song, and not because I wanted to satisfy some of my wild fantasies like these people are saying. I love your voice. I mean, you've got a great voice. And as a musician, I can't let that go to waste, you know what I mean?" She said the whole thing in a breath or two. Punit blinked. Ankita turned pale, wondering what had got to him. "Punit?" she called softly. She felt foolish and wished that she'd first found out whether he even knew about this fiasco in the first place before blurting out like an idiot. "Huh?" He blinked again as he struggled to gather what she really said. "Uhm, y-y-yeah..." He squeezed it out with massive effort. "I-I get it, I get what you mean," he added. She watched him intently, her cheeks slowly turning red. "Did you know about all this, or...?" "Yeah, I... did," he shrugged, sounding rather uncomfortable. "And?" She probed quietly. "And what? Like you said, tish-tosh. Rubbish. Hah!" He chuckled. *** She's bold, daring, free-spirited, and unbreakable as a wild mare. She's popular, attractive, a guitarist and also his best friend. Punit Soni has madly been in love with Ankita Agarwal since school days but never found the courage to profess. Whenever he finally worked it out, something or the other happened to ruin everything or to remind him that Ankita probably never felt the same. Or does she?

This is the story of Dawgpur, an Indian town that nobody can locate on a map, mostly because it's a figment of my (yvs') imagination. Dawgpur has a unique set of residents, like Chhotu- a 5-year-old who is too tall for his age. Or his father Lambu, a madari (monkey-charmer), who is too short for his age. Or Lana del Jogo, a primatologist and Chhotu's mother, who is just the right height but still sticks out like a sore thumb. The only creature that fits in the family is Raquesh Albert Mancini, a Golden Langur with a penchant for literature and high art. But things go apeshit when the Langur's dark past comes around to haunt the family. Dawgpur is a documentation of the life and times of the Dawgpurians, an enquiry into the twisted, absurd and somewhat comical nature of our own being.

Donating blood was a good deal for her; it was saving someone's life and she was earning a few bucks until a kind-hearted doctor saved her hands from an organ trafficking gang. Dr. Dev Bansal rescued that same little girl when he found her unconscious in the suburbs during a medical survey camp. He adopted that malnourished and anemic girl as his daughter. That year she moved out of the country with Mr. and Mrs. Bansal and their son as the fourth member of their family. He wanted to surprise his parents but got one, finding his father had a new companion: the owner of the hospital, he entered. His mother too has a new family. They were divorced. He has half-siblings a decade younger than him and step-siblings of his age. There was no news of Alie. "No wonder, she never replied to my letters." He was in dismay until a midnight call; call from his mentor, Dr. Vinod Aggarwal.

In the quiet shade of a centuries-old baoli, where lotus petals float lazily over still water, a girl from Nagpur adjusts her mogra gajra and speaks in stubborn truths. And the boy from Jaipur, in his linen kurta and silken silence, listens - like he's been waiting for her voice his whole life. She smells like mitti after rain and keeps her dreams folded in steel lunchboxes. He walks like poetry, never raises his voice, and writes letters he never sends. She calls him out on his privilege. He ties her broken sandal strap without saying a word. Their love isn't loud. It blooms quietly - like jasmine in the dark. In chai-scented afternoons. In paper cuts and poetry edits. In stolen glances by lamp-lit corridors. And in a moment under a rain-soaked archway, when he finally says: > "You are everything I never thought I deserved - but always wrote about anyway." This isn't a story of grand gestures. This is a story of soft revolutions. Of falling in love not all at once - but exactly when you didn't mean to.
