I wish for many of us to see beyond what meets the eye and understand more than what we think we know. This piece is my hope-that others might feel the same way, and capture what I'm trying to say beneath the surface.

Rain falls in crosshatch across the lamp lit sky, splattering the asphalt ground with splashes of reflected light. I look at the sketchbook in my hand and trace the penciled rain and smudged glow. It was shit. I let to book fly onto the muddy grass and soak up the crosshatch.

This is my first book so criticism and advice is welcome, also mild swearing is expected. Ryan Jameson is a normal high-school nobody until he wishes for a life of glamour and is taken to a new world where strength decides, he encounters monsters, nobles, and people with personalities equal to that of the monsters.

Why do we keep trying? Yunmi notices a wall most people ignore. It isn't hidden or guarded. It's just a part of the street, part of daily life. People pass it, lean against it, and build around it. No one expects anything from it. Yunmi does. She believes things exist for a reason. That patience, effort, and persistence must eventually lead somewhere. As Yunmi gives more of herself to something that offers nothing back, she begins to face a quieter truth - not about the wall, but about herself. And about why we stay, long after nothing is answering.

Poetry provides an escape from reality. All the big emotions that are difficult to talk about come pouring out in writing. It connects people who relate to the words that go unsaid but are felt so deeply. This book allows us to feel human and to realise we all share in the same feelings of love, loss, pain, joy and sadness.

Both of them think differently, defending their gender with such harsh words about each other. The girls side was one, the boys side was another, but this is The Boy's Side of that everything.

However, things take a dark turn when secrets from their pasts start rising to the surface. Trying to catch his breath, Ryan can't help but continue to feel like he's losing.
