Abandoned by the famous novelist who gave birth to her, Evangeline is being raised in a trailer park by a scruffy cat who smells like burnt toast, and the wind-up chambermaid (with key and torsion spring built-in) who found her in a laundry hamper. The teen years of a misunderstood artistic genius are tough. Her dreams of becoming a writer got quashed in infancy, and she only manages to earn a few crumbs of approval after she pivots to ballet. Too bad they come from Miskomin, the cheeky liar who lives a few doors down. As Evangeline's adolescence unfolds, the appearance of an unexpected competitor erodes her burgeoning self-confidence, and a predatory artistic director attempts to rewrite her entire world. Her desperate reactions to these influences and her subsequent return to storytelling bring her inner demons to life. Literally. Eager to master herself, Evangeline tackles a series of monsters, operates a murderous sewing machine, and befriends a sentient doll. Her misadventures help unearth latent abilities and force her relationship with neighbour and frenemy, Miskomin, to undergo a surprising evolution. As her creative journey unfolds, Evangeline gains the understanding and experience she needs to face the final boss: Herself. Will she learn to look beyond the artist she wants to be and accept the person she is? *I'm writing this novel as I go. This is a rough draft. I update every Friday evening Eastern Time. **Note regarding chapter images: AI is devastating the environment. Instead of continuing to use it to generate chapter images, I thought it would be fun to instead post non-ai images created by fans and digital artists eager to promote their work. Interested in contributing? Contact me via Discord: bjorkobirka. Artwork will be credited to the artist, and I can share the artist's contact information if desired. PG images only. Thank you!! I very much hope this story finds the readers it resonates with. Shout-out to my fellow weirdos!! Happy reading!

Kiri adjusts to her new life among the reef people with the help of new and old friends as she journeys to find answers from Eywa. However, a forbidden love starts to blossom and feelings get in the way while War arises. Meanwhile truths come to light tearing apart the people she cares about most. Kiri must do everything in her power to bring the people she loves together while fulfilling the will of Eywa. No matter what she does decide to do, someone she loves will end up hurt. !! This story continues after the second movie. *Contains spoilers from previous movies* !! Writer's note: This is my adaptation on how the next Avatar movies will unfold, told in Kiri's pov. I've read all the avatar comic books and the visual dictionary (I.e research) to make this story as accurate as possible while also adding my own spin on it. I've grown to love this franchise due to being an indigenous Natives person living in Canada I never watched people like me on TV. I've felt something for James Cameron's characters though, feeling touched he was inspired by us and our ancestors culture. I mean no disrespect towards my fellow Aboriginal peoples but this book is not made to represent you. It's for all the dreamers like myself and others who want to make a separate yet merging path from old ways and new. I see you! Love, Symphony from Pasqua First Nation.

I wrote this poem in 1987 during the time of the Ethiopian famine. Last year I changed a couple lines, and this is my updated version. When I first wrote this poem I was only 18 years old and hadn't had children yet. Now after nursing 7 children, I realize the mother in the poem was also dying because she didn't have enough calories herself to produce breast milk for her baby. This collection of poems/stories deals with world wide issues and life struggles. I have poems or stories on most of these subjects, but just gradually publishing them. I usually write poems that other readers might relate to, but I realize that some material will be sensitive to some readers. Please note: not trying to offend anyone.
