Some rage on a punching bag. Some cry. Some sleep. I do much of the above. But I prefer to read. Read a good ole book. A novel, a comic, my Bible, poetry. Reading, calms the mind. Reading, heals the soul. Reading, nurtures the brain. It drowns pain: by immersing you into new worlds, other dimensions. Seriously, juste_lisez. And immerse yourself into the piece of literature. There is an image at the back of Camatzia's mind which repeats itself to her in dreams. It is an image of a battle, dirt, tears, a blonde figure covered in blood. It's a picture in a book, a painting on and artist's canvas, a mural on the wall...but always blurred. This vision gives Camatzia a feeling of unease, as if something is approaching that will create a sudden change in the path of life, but what does it mean? She doesn't know if it's just a nightmare, a display of the worry she feels about her return to the birthplace of her mother and whether or not she will be accepted, or a sign from the Valar. A sign telling her that something catastrophic is about to happen.

Poetry for the Attys This is a collection of poetry I wrote over the last few months. Each poem is special to me in one way or another... Each tells a story. It was interesting to write in forms and styles I hadn't even known existed till I decided to enter this competition. Good luck to everyone.

Kyoko is tired of having to hide who she really is. She is a neko, a changling, or whatever you want to call her kind. She's fed up with being scared that one day the humans will lock her up too and treat her like a slave. She refuses to be treated like less than an equal to the humans. Thats why when she was 7 she made an important decision that would change her life forever. My essay on the modern day oppression of women

After a mass break-out of zoo animals raises suspicions, an illiterate boy uncovers a scheme to rid the city of all lower-class citizens... including him. *** In a land where discriminations are common and technology evolves faster than the living, adapting to the system is a must. The arrival of a scientist-turned-mayor in Dogson City also further pressures the citizens with the introduction of Contributier, a system that records the citizens' contributions and sorts them into Tiers based on their accumulated points. Those in the Low-Tier are soon regarded as societal waste, while those in the Top-Tier are glorified and feared like lions in the jungle. But chaos ensues once the local zoo experiences a 'zoo-break' on the mayor's first anniversary. And to further complicate the matter, several unfortunate citizens--including Allice, an illiterate Low-Tier boy--accidentally stumble upon carelessly spread-out secrets and schemes, making them the perfect prey for daunting human-faced beasts in the city. Now Allice and his companions must break free from the swamped situation they've fallen into. Or their future lies solely under the mercy of the beasts in the mysterious land. This is the life story of a South-Indian woman with humble background, making her life emerge from archaic tradition and background. Her life of trials and tribulations in the late 20th century are described. The story is set in the stage of family ties, occupation, woman emancipation in a world of inequalities, competition and pathos. STORY COMPLETED.
