Starting with our enslavement in the Americas and the genesis of the African Diaspora. Then Reconstruction, the Black Codes, Jim Crow laws, the Black Freedom Movement, the 1960s up to present-day, Kamal Al Mansour, draws analogies from film and literature that concludes the African Diaspora is not only in a dystopian state but has been in such a state for nearly 500 years. "Divine Consciousness" takes you B(l)ack and forward, B(l)ack to the future, and on a journey to Afrofuturism. This journey, however, requires of you self-realization, self-actualization, and self-determination.
