Suddenly Tara started having dreams that told her to end Aurelie's life. There was always a voice in Tara's head saying that as long as Aurelie was alive, Tara couldn't be. Tara couldn't have a good enough social, family, academic, or love life. Aurelie always outshone her in every area. Only one could live. And that one had to be Tara. Aurelie had to die. But...was that what Tara wanted or what the voice in her head wanted?

Jayda Hills starts to question the world she has grown to accept to be corrupt but with only her instincts to trust. She meets a complete opposite of her. Jeremiah Houghton. Theres something weird about him that makes her question how her life actually 'is' "if I ever associated myself with a black person I will surly die" when she finally figures out how her world is corrupt who's side will she take? "whatever the blacks did I know it must have been really bad for them to segregate us. on a scale from 1-10 I honestly think its 9.5" The blacks, or the whites... who are the OPPRESSIVLY SUPERIOR Starring Shelley Hennig as Jayda Hills and Jacob Latimore as Jeremiah Houghton.

I know my intelligence is above average, to say the least. My idea of 'fun' is sitting down and reading a good book. Apparently, not everyone agrees. Shirou and I have an unlikely friendship, but we've always stuck together. I may have just ruined that.

This is one chapter from my novel, Inferior, an epic monomyth set in a dystopian future. In this future, genetically engineered humans, Superiors, rule over Inferiors (non-genetically engineered human beings). Faced with possible extinction, the Council Superior (the six oldest Superiors who act as a governing body) develops a plan involving the Inferior (or maybe not so Inferior) youth named Chaos. This chapter falls at about the first quarter mark in the book and gives the audience the best glimpse into the overall plot of the larger text.
