Celeste, her sister Mee-Kyong, and brother Seung have had a hard past. Celeste never lived in one spot, her siblings always tried to get their mom off drugs and alcohol. When ever Celeste went home from wonderful months with her dad she went home to a mother that got abusive or was stoned or wasted her older sister would have to act like a mother instead. When Celeste was 9 she was spending a month in LA with her father when he was murdered. At the same time her father was murdered her mother was sent to jail. She was then sent to live with her brother and her sister was sent too. This story follows their life up to the moment when their lives become wonderful lives.
