Two years have passed since the Dragon Prince was returned to his home and peace was brought to Xadia and the Human Kingdoms. But now Caroline, Raylan and Team Zym must unite again to defeat old enemies and prevent the release of Aaravos, a Star-touch elf responsible for all conflict and war. Addiane found her life to be comfortable enough. She may not have known her family, but she was fed and taken care of by those she lived with. She rarely feared for her life, and she was being taught valuable life lessons by those around her. Of course, training to be a Dragon Rider under the Shadeslayer himself, the first proper Rider in a long time, was a major bonus. Addiane wouldn't have thought she'd ever want to leave their little haven. Her curiosity simply got the better of her when Eragon's cousin made a plea for assistance, describing terrifying marauders and bowmen whose aim had been blessed by gods. And of course there was the man who rode the red dragon. Addiane had to know more about him, and about what was going on in the mountains that Eragon Shadeslayer had once called home. Based on a headcanon from Tumblr (eragonheadcanons.tumblr.com) Eragon did defeat Galbatorix but was wounded by him in their final battle-a wound that doesn't heal with conventional magic or healing treatments. He lies in a bed in the castle and is proclaimed King, despite not being conscious or consenting. Several months pass and laws are passed under his name, one of which frees every slave in the country. One of the slaves freed comes to the castle to work as a servant instead of seeking an entirely new life and profession. They meet Murtagh, who has stayed instead of leaving and make some sort of impression on him. They are asked to come and help take care of the wounded King.

15 years after Eragon Shadeslayer, and his dragon, Saphira left Alagaesia to train a new generation of Dragon Riders, a new threat emerged-a magician who bent the power of the Ancient Language to hurt the people of Ilirea, the capital of the Empire. Eragon dispatched one of the new Riders and his dragon to bring the magician to justice, a test for the young Rider and his dragon.

When the worlds of Hiccup and Eragon collide, will either world ever be the same again? And when a threat endangers both their worlds, will our heroes be able to work together to confront their foe? A story that combines the world of Alagaësia with that of Berk. The How to train you Dragon film is also amazing but, in my opinion, the Eragon film is codswallop and I'd avoid it like the plague if I were you :)

It's been seventeen years since Eragon left Alagaësia to raise the next generation dragon riders. The time he has spent at the riders new safe haven has better than he imagined, but he misses his friends and his family, especially Arya. So when Murtagh has proven himself to the people of Alagaësia, Eragon asks for a favor. He wants Murtagh to take over his position as teacher of the new riders. Eragon is destined never to return to Alagaësia, but he has to, if he wants to see Arya again.
