Infrequent updates... Long ago, the world was submerged in an age of darkness. Cold, barren, and ruled by the everlasting dragons. Then came fire, heat, warmth, and from it, they have immerged and with them came the Souls of the Ancient Lords. Gwyn, Lord of sunlight was one of the bearers of the Lord Souls, and he had four dragon slayers whom have fought by his side. Dragon Slayer Ornstein, Hawkeye Gough, Lord's blade Ciaran, and Wolf Knight Artorias. Once un-needed, they all went their seperate ways. Ornstein wen't to protect Gwyn's daughter Gwyndolin, Ciaran left to a land unknown and Gough wandered to find a new beginning. Artorias however, wished to continue his crusade against the forces of darkness and spread Gwyn's holy light throughout the lands. Armed with his sword and wolf companion Sif, he decides to battle an ancient evil that was stirring in the darkness of a mysterious land of Oolacile. The darkness of Manus, the Primeval Man, Father of the Abyss. Artorias believed that he would be able to defeat such a foe, but ended up being consumed by the very darkness he wished to rid from the world. Now broken, he awaits his death anxiously, in hopes to finally be free. When he does die however, something happens that he doesn't expect. He finds himself where dragons are both, his allies and his enemies. Where elves, dwarves, and demonic creatures called urgals live amongst humans. He finds a world ripe with stories and light, and finds that he was given a second chance. At a holy crusade once again. But will he truly be rid of the darkness that consumed him? Or will he once again fall to the clutches of evil? I don't own Dark Souls nor Eragon, Eragon belongs to Christopher Paolini and Dark Souls to FromSoftware.

What changes, then, starting from the very beginning? ======================================== An Inheritance Cycle fanfiction/rewrite, written in such a way that even those unfamiliar with the series can read without issue! An OC insert at the beginning of the first book where the difference in character, personality, and actions cause this story to diverge from the one we know slowly. Some of the first chapters are more or less simple edited copies of actual chapters from the books, mainly because there was simply not much to change. But as the story diverges, so will the chapters. Currently, I plan to rewrite the entirety of the first book, but that is a pretty huge goal, so we'll see. Also, there are some scenes of bloodshed and fight, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. There may be some scenes not for children but not until, at least, chapter 35, Episode 3 or 4. Updates once or twice a week. Based on a headcanon from Tumblr (eragonheadcanons.tumblr.com) Eragon did defeat Galbatorix but was wounded by him in their final battle-a wound that doesn't heal with conventional magic or healing treatments. He lies in a bed in the castle and is proclaimed King, despite not being conscious or consenting. Several months pass and laws are passed under his name, one of which frees every slave in the country. One of the slaves freed comes to the castle to work as a servant instead of seeking an entirely new life and profession. They meet Murtagh, who has stayed instead of leaving and make some sort of impression on him. They are asked to come and help take care of the wounded King.

As Murtagh and Thorn leave Alagesia to seek redemption for their unwilling crimes, they are approached by a cosmic dragon who offers them a chance to atone for their crimes and use their bond and gifts to help others in need. As they journey with her to a realm beyond all they know, they meet outsiders like them and form a new team of riders. (I own nothing but my OC characters). I take no credit for the Inhertiance Cycle, Tangled, Dragon Prince or any other elements that don't belong to me.

Hope, Ismira, Mala, Makthur and Darfin are living ordinary lives in Alagaesia until fate decides to smile on them. They come together, train, and travel about the country, embarking on many adventures. Many ideas in this story including the Ancient Language, many of the characters, and the universe, originate from the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini. When a man chanced upon her on a hunting trip, he brought her to an orphanage, where they named her Lilliana and raised her as an orphan. Meanwhile, a new enemy arises from the North.
