Dustfinger is an orphaned teenage fire-eater in the kingdom of Argenta. His struggle for survival gets him entangled with Capricorn and his men. They break into the Castle of Night where Dustfinger discovers a strange connection to a shapeshifter named Gwin. This story can be enjoyed without ever having read Inkheart. This is not entirely canon because this started as an original story I wrote that I'm now changing into an Inkheart/Dustfinger fanfic because it was essentially already a fanfic in disguise lol

What if Inkheart were real? What if you really could read books into real life? Halley Brooks is a bookworm. She loves reading. All her friends call it an obsession. One day, something mysterious happens. When reading one of her favorite books, a character comes to life before her eyes. After that, she decides to enter the book herself and finds herself landed in a world created by ink on a page. And the world in which she arrived is not at all the fantasy she had expected.

This is my first story and I'm writing it at 11 pm but who cares. This is going to be a story on how our matchstick eater falls for you <3 I love Dustfinger and I have yet to see a fanfic about him so I am practically doing this for myself. You will be Mo's old bookworm friend from highschool and most of the scenes will be based from the movie or my own head. I do not own any of the characters or places in Inkheart except Y/N. Enjoy!
