In July 2017 I lost my uncle. It was my first time experiencing grief and I didn't (still don't) really know how to handle it. It was at my lowest moment that I picked up a notebook and pen and began to write. I wrote everything from letters to poems. I poured my deepest thoughts and feelings straight on to the paper and now I'm sharing them with you. This is my account of grief: Raw, unedited and straight from the heart.

This is just a short story about my mom that i have lost about three years ago, now. I loved her a lot and i was very lucky to have a mother like her. I hope I somehow help the readers be able to feel at least something of what i felt while reading this.

This was originally written as a "Lost Boys: The Tribe" piece in honour of the late Corey Haim. He is missed but never forgotten.
