It's about how terrible the first day of a new year went for me. All the emotions i went through in a single day. It's an original short story and a non fictional one. I wrote it on the day of the occurrences because i didn't want to forget any part of it, the feeling, the fear, none of it. For all the teenagers who have grown up in a disturbing household, with non-loving parents, who learnt to bottle up their emotion, who are anxious. I learnt to put myself first, you will learn too.

Lily has no idea how long it will take for her moms to return. She must protect her brothers and find a job to help keep everyone safe. When a letter from a strange man named Mr. Mornaldo arrives at their door offering a job to work in the underground, she cannot refuse. Working in the underground is a high honor and is the only place not controlled by the capital. Lily has no idea why she was chosen but that's not the strangest thing. The letter from Mr. Mornaldo was quite unsettling, he seemed to be giving a warning, the words sent a chill down her spine. "There are cities that they've hidden, the trains are the only way to reach them without detection. The capital is not a safe place, and you must protect your brothers at all costs. Now, listen to me carefully, you cannot trust the ones in white."
