I work in an brazilian organization called Sebrae that supports the development of small Brazilian businesses. I have the function of coordinating partnerships with the Brazilian states and entities that want to develop innovative businesses. This year 2017, in partnership with UNDP, we launched a call called INCLUIR Initiative 2017 for recognition of inspiring cases of social business that are turning realities into six categories . Discover their stories and understand socioeconomic and environmental problems through the eyes of those who wish to change the country and are already succeeding in making a difference.

While innovation is often listed as a key performance area of many executives, it is the concept of innovation - that is the perspective of the members of the Board - that determines the amount of innovation that is allowed or encouraged. This is where change management becomes far more important than the innovation itself. This is because buy-in or acceptance of the innovation has to be achieved - through inspirational and shepherd leadership (which is a rare quality). This is especially true where "the innovation" is a radical departure from the conventional wisdom and accepted norms.
