Jackson Stafford was an average high school kid. Not a lot of people seemed to like him; it was mostly animals who enjoyed his company, and his crazy old grandfather who told stories about things like griffons and other creatures coming alive. In short, he basically stayed well away from trouble and the kids at school who caused it. Unfortunately, trouble seems to find him. Jackson is expelled from his old school and sent to Skyview High, a wild place where he just didn't think he belonged. If the stories his grandfather told him was any indication to what was about to happen, Jackson wished he had listened more carefully.

Follow Thistlekit, youngest member of Windclan, as she struggles to understand her place in her moorland home beside the great lake, shared home of the four clans. Walk in her pawsteps as she learns the truthfulness of love, betrayal, loyalty, and murder. See through her eyes as she realizes bonds are not always formed from blood, that kin may turn into her darkest enemy. Watch as she grows and becomes a warrior that Windclan will be proud of, all with the ominous threat of a prophecy following her tail.
