Everything was bathed in blood-red hue. She saw remnants of what could only be described as Arlathan. Beautiful cities are now laying in ruin. She slowly walked through the torn streets cautiously, constantly looking around thinking something was going to pop up and ambush her. But her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a monstrous roar. Several actually and the sound of a wolf. Amanatha sprinted towards the sounds, leaping over and sliding under the debris until she found herself blocked by what appeared to be mutated plants. The roars sounded again, and she spotted the source ahead. She saw what looked to be several corrupt dragons, even more massive than the dragons in the waking world. Something stirred within her. Something familiar and terrifying. A dark howl ripped through the sky. It was defiant but singular and radiated a power she had not felt before, yet it was familiar. Her eyes widened in surprise as she rounded a corner. A wolf as black as night with six eyes as red as a burning fire stood before the several dragons.

The year is 1483 AD, ten years before Christopher Columbus's famous voyage to America. In Aztlan, the Aztecs have suffered significant changes in their social and religious climates. Under the weyitlatoani Moctezuma, Aztecs ceased sacrificing those that share their faith and began a renewed focus on education, prosperity, and the discovery and conquering of new lands. With this new focus came new ventures, and a floating city was built to sail across the seas in search of adventure and led by divine guidance. Eventually, this floating city would reach the shores of Portugal. The Portuguese were wrought with their own struggles at this time. The land was flooded with refugees who had fled the Reconquista and more who fled the looming Inquisition in the neighboring kingdom of Castile. The newly crowned Portuguese king, Joao II, was obsessed with the sea and the discoveries waiting across unknown waters. He dreamt of building Portugal into a new maritime superpower, but the kingdom's coffers were dry, and to rebuild the treasury, he turned to the wealthy landowners, forcefully ridding them of their property to support the building of new ships and funding voyages. At the time of our tale, Joao II has decided to strike against the wealthiest and most influential dynasty in Portugal, the House of Braganza. Duke Ferdinand II de Braganza was an influential advocate of new liberal ideals growing in Portugal and dreamt of building a new parliamentary democracy based on the Portuguese Cortes. When Joao II makes his move, de Braganza has no choice but to organize a rebellion and strike back. In this alternative historical fiction, the worlds of medieval Europe and Aztec civilization meet and clash, illuminating many questions for all ages.

I mostly follow the sequence of the game, filling in blanks as I find suitable, but I do sometimes alter dialogues or the chronological order of events. The story focuses mainly on the romance but I aim to write up fun stories from Lavellan's quests in Thedas as well. May eventually contain mature content, but I am taking the story slow. This is going to be a collection of drabbles I write about Dragon Age Inquisition. It'll probably contain spoilers for Dragon Age: Origins as well as Dragon Age II, so I'm warning about those, but obvious spoilers for Inquisition are obvious. A/N this is based on the actual events of the game which may contain spoilers. It happened many years ago when the Darkspawn magister, Corypheus, broke free from his seal and tried to take over the world. However, there was a group who stopped him and their leader held the power to stop him and end his evil plot for good. This group is called the Inquisition, a group of strong warriors banded together to fight against the evil that Corypheus sent to their land. Join Inquisitor Serana Trevelyan, as she embarks her journey from being the youngest child attending to the Chantry to end the mage-templar war to becoming the leader of the Inquisition to put an end to Corypheus' evil plot.

What happens if it is the Queen of Ferelden who comes out of the rift and not a Trevelyan, Levellan, Cadash, or Adaar? What will happen to her role as Queen of Ferelden? Or maybe even her role as Hero of Ferelden.
