They'd preached balance while clones-their own soldiers-were being twisted into executioners. She ground her teeth together, her face twitching with fury. "The Jedi told us to trust the Republic," she spat into the silence. "They told us the clones were loyal. That we were guardians of peace." She gestured to the corpses. "Does this look like peace?" She paced now, her movements sharp and erratic. "They told us emotions were dangerous. That fear, anger, love-any attachment-would lead to ruin. They said attachment was forbidden." Her voice cracked. "But what is loyalty if not attachment? What is trust? Brotherhood?
