Living your life as the descendant of the Insect Pillar wasn't an easy task to do, you were always on the look out just to find that wretched demon, Douma; and almost everyday you kept on fulfilling your duties as the 'Butterfly Pillar', slaying demons everywhere, day and night, with only a little amount of rest, so I guess you could say that your work was hell. --- Until, within the brink of twilight, you met these people who claims to be the member of the "Armed Detective Agency", which you soon formed an alliances with, and also formed a somewhat type of relationship.

Giyuu will never forget the pain of losing loved ones, he goes on with his life after the final battle...alone. He remembers the good days, wishing that there was someone accompanying him in the last few years he had to live. He misses her, the short butterfly girl that he called annoying, wishing more than ever for her to reappear and tease him, telling him that he was disliked and didn't have any friends. He missed him, the peached haired boy that he called his best friend, he also missed his elder sister more than ever, needing her guidance and advice. Giyuu continued living as a empty shell, devoid of any emotion, hiding his pain. He didn't have a purpose anymore.
