In the year 2564, the UNSC finds the destroyed remains of Installation 01, which had been shattered with no evidence as to why. During an expedition on the more intact sections of the ring, a team of scientists discover a series of fragmented logs from its artificial caretaker, which helps shed light on the events that lead to its destruction.
