Institutionalized Stories

I am a sociopath. I am 22 years old. I have a book long diagnoses of mental illnesses. I am writing to reach out and share with people who are similar to me.

The problem with the world is that no one ever shuts up. What people don’t know, is that it’s even louder when no one is actually talking. This world is deafening, filled with thoughts of people in pain, dealing with the constant cruelties of their everyday life, and I hear it all. I guess that's why, up until a week ago, I was locked up in a mental institution. (Summary is a work in progress... it doesn't have the plot in it at all). Updates? Will not happen often. I'm sorry I can't give a more concrete time period. I just don't write that way! Thanks for your patience. Krista has DID(multiple personality disorder), Annie is anti-social and refuses to speak to anyone but Armin, Reiner, Bertholdt or Mina, Connie has a serious Case of ADHD with the never ending hyperactive-impulsiveness, Armin has Atelophobia and savant syndrome(WOW--like omg wow), $asha has an eating disorder(COE), Eren just has cynical asshole syndrome and is VERY passive aggressive, Mikasa’s the intern, Ymir’s just super lesbian, Jean also has cynical asshole syndrome, Marco’s severely shy and quiet(I KNOW there’s a name for this, but can’t recall it) but sweet. Reiner grows attached too easily and becomes possessive and protective (I’m sure there’s a name for it but I’m not sure of it). Mina and Bert (ugh, I hate calling him that but it’s easier) are part of the staff. *OC: Moira has Sadistic personality disorder which masks the Avoidant. Alexis(otherwise known as me!) Has Automophobia and is passive-aggressive. Levi….Has OCD, Haphephobia and cynical asshole syndrome…And Erwin and Hanji are THeRaPisTs.

All these poems could be ones ive written years ago, months ago, though they could still apply to the present and the future. Typically i wont put a poem in this story unless i find it and its atleast a month old and not in the other stories.

While working two years at a mental institution, I met a lot of people who deserved the chance to be heard... My aim is to give a voice to one lady in particular. Along with mental illness and a mild intellectual disability, she has suffered from abuse for her entire life. I am writing HER story, but in a way, it is also mine. As this series progresses, I hope you will come to love her as I did. -AM
