Clara is a hero who sees everything. Her awareness maps every room she enters, every person, every threat. She tracks heartbeats through rubble and reads a punch before the fist moves. In Crosshaven, that makes her one of the best at keeping people alive. Then the supermax collapses. Hundreds of the world's most dangerous criminals pour into the city in a single night, and Clara throws herself into the chaos with nothing but her suit and years of training. She expects enemies. What she doesn't expect is Sonia. Sonia was a hero once. Before the massacre. Before the trial. Before hundreds of people died and she was convicted for her part in it. Now she's free, the city is burning, and she's saving the same civilians everyone assumes she'd kill. No one knows why. Clara isn't sure she wants to find out. Instead, she starts asking questions no one wants answered. What begins as suspicion becomes partnership. Partnership becomes trust. And trust, in borrowed time, becomes something neither of them planned for. New Chapter every Sunday.

You know them, the typical high school stereotypes: the distant nerd, the tough bully, the vengeful bad girl, and the cheerful loner. Sonny, Taylor, Abby, and Lester are no different than that. But when the four of them get struck by a bolt of white plasma, they all receive very peculiar powers. Nourelle, the sorceress who called for them, names them "The Chosen Ones", because, with their help, she plans on taking down Sullivan Sinister, the man who wants to take over the planet and turn it into his personal playground, and his horsemanship. Nourelle is sure the teens will succeed, but what if they can't even work together...?

(Boy x boy) I ran down seemingly endless halls. My breathing erratic and my heartbeat strong and unwavering as it pounded against my ribs. I searched the metal walls for doors, finding none as it went on forever. One thing plagued my mind, one name, one person; Weston. I finally came across the end of the hall, but there was no door. A window took up the entire wall. I looked in, and what I saw made my breath hitch. "Weston!" I yelled, slamming my hands against the glass. I stared at him in disbelief. He was tied to a chair, his wrists and feet bound by coarse rope. His hair fell in his eyes but I saw the scar of what happened the night this all began. His eyepatch was gone and I could see the full extent of the injury. He looked up at a woman with his one good eye. "Clara, don't you touch him!" I yelled slamming my hand against the glass. She turned from her place and smiled at me, her perfect red lips pulling into a false projection of happiness. "Ah, Mr. Blake, you finally showed up," she grinned. I stared at Weston who stared back. I felt my throat close as I looked at him. It was evident they'd been throwing him around for most likely hours, as his body was riddled with bruises and cuts, while his nose bled freely. "Let him go! Please," I croaked, looking into Clara's cold eyes. She smiled, reached in her belt and pulled out a small handgun. I felt my stomach drop. "No! Please please Clara not him! Please," I cried. I tried to phase through the glass but I couldn't. The panic was setting in and I felt the atmosphere thicken. "Sorry Mr. Blake, but problems must be solved," she said, pressing the barrel of the gun to Weston's temple. He looked at me and gave me a smile. "Weston!" I yelled clawing at the glass. "Take care of Chikyu for me," he said. I felt my eyes prick with tears. I shook my head. "Clara please!" I cried. Weston closed his eyes and Clara smiled. "Finally, my biggest problem solved," she laughed. She pulled the trigger.
