The only living thing that notices him is a stray dog that waits at his gate every morning. Aaron feeds him the egg yolk he doesn't eat and a couple of biscuits. It's not much, but the dog never complains. He never named him. Giving something a name means getting attached, and getting attached means something that can be taken away. It's easier this way. Being invisible. Watching from the outside. Not caring. But one morning on the bus, a girl wakes him up. A senior. She doesn't just call him out for sleeping in the priority seat. She looks at him like she's already figured something out. Like she's been watching longer than he realized. Aaron has spent a long time making sure no one looks too closely. He's about to learn that some people look anyway.

She is still afraid to leave her though. Meanwhile, Kasey is contemplating whether or not she deserves to live. She feels depressed and hates herself after. Sonya pushes her into a mental break
