You know, I never thought it would start with us. Tagging each other in Instagram posts we thought were funny. Creating impossible scenarios with people we knew in our own little world. Making little us, come to life and do stuff we wish we could do. Talking on various apps until we couldn't find anymore to connect on. Editing various photos of us to make it look like we could hang out with each other. Holding hilarious conversations and laughing so hard until we were bent over in hysteria. Fantasizing about meeting one another, and cursing the miles that held us apart. I never though those videos of people running to each other would become us. Yet, here we are, together, in person. All the messages and calls turned into a human. The human I became best friends with. It started with us, it continued with us. It'll continue with us too.
