When the younger sister of the farmer blows into town after getting into some trouble in the city, she catches the eye of Haley, the town valley girl who no one really seems to know. In the weeks leading up to the Winter Star festival, Willow decides to take it upon herself to fix up the old community center and save it from a dark fate. Meanwhile, Haley finds the newcomer's exploits far too charming to not be suspicious. Willow appears to be getting attention from everyone in town, especially from Haley's crush, Abigail. As Haley struggles with Willow's presence shaking up the town, she also starts developing other feelings toward her that she never saw coming. The two will soon find out what gifts Winter Star has in store for them.

Daisy is struggling to figure out her life but she happens to have a stepbrother who lives on a little farm in a strange faraway valley. She makes a plan to stay with her brother for the summer and work on the farm to see if this valley life is for her. As the summer begins she catches the eye of the local doctor, a nerdy and lonely man who thinks his time for romance, if there ever was one, has passed long ago. What neither of them expect is how they feel about each other, and so a friendship blossoms and a summer romance brews between the new farmer and the sweet gentle doctor.
