Grâce est originaire du Congo Kinshasa où elle exerce en tant qu'infirmière. Chassée par les guerres intestines de son pays, elle arrive en France, où elle demande le droit d'asile. Il lui sera accordé, et elle trouvera un travail d'aide-soignante, car son diplôme n'est pas reconnu en France. Il lui faudra donc passer l'équivalence, et retourner à l'école d'infirmière pendant 2 ans. Certes elle s'y fera des ami(e)s car elle a un cœur en or, mais les 2 authentiques Comtesses de sa promotion lui mettront les bâtons dans les roues... Plus particulièrement Angélique, qui est très raciste. Grâce arrivera cependant à lui clouer définitivement le bec !
