Here is where the Acme part of the professor's description name comes from, the USA Warner Bros cartoon Road Runner where Wile E Coyote tries to catch the speeding "RoadRunner" bird. Wile E. Coyote often obtains various complex and ludicrous devices from a mail-order company, the fictitious Acme Corporation, which he hopes will help him catch the Road Runner. The devices invariably fail in improbable and spectacular fashion. So the Acme Prof has similar all encompassing and slightly mad ideas and inventions and flights of fancy, as encompassed by the never say no fictitious Mail Order "Acme company", who always delivered, no matter how crazy the idea. He sits up a mountain in the South of Spain retired and slightly eccentric, but with a hell of an imagination. So if you like the idea of almost unlimited flights of fancy, with perhaps a revolution "or two" how he is thinking about certain things, strap on and hang on!

The story follows the life and adventure of a conceited and ambitious University student, Yalu, who tries to do too many things at once and dreams of becoming a "Collector". In the meantime, mysterious phenomena are happening in the city and beyond. One fateful night, Yalu meets a loud and cheerful woman. Rodrigo, a human boy, and Tails are adopted brothers, living together on their lab/workshop on Mystic Ruins. Since they will never be as fast as Sonic or as strong as Knuckles, Rodrigo and Tails focus on their inventions. Unfortunately, they often get themselves in trouble with said inventions...
