Ten years ago, a horrible beast took the life of Kazuma's father. As they settle warily into the village, Susato finds herself taking up a task that throws her into a strange manor surrounded by a permanent mist. And directly into the path of that same beast. Struck by the beast's haunted eyes, Susato's fear for her life begins to wither beneath a sense of compassion that will lead to a startling discovery. For the truth is not at all what it seems.
