'I closed my eyes and tried to relax as the plane moved into action. We had a long flight and I had a feeling I wouldn’t be getting a lot of sleep these next couple of days. The plane’s engines picked up speed and one of the flight attendants voice rang out over the loudspeaker. “Please fasten your seat belts as we ascend into the sky for Sydney, Australia.” Wait a second… Weren’t we supposed to be going to New Zealand? My eyes flew open. Uh oh.' Alana Smith has suffered a lot over the past two years. She stays strong for her brother Cory's sake even if sometimes she's just pretending. She has never told anyone how much she's hurting inside and how much she misses her parents. Alana has grown up much faster than any other teenager that she knows. She is practically Cory's mum. She takes care of him, feeds him, but most of all, she has to love him. Cory and Alana move around from family member to family member with what little they have and when they are on their way to New Zealand to live with their aunt for the summer, there is a flight mix up. After Luke gives Arianna the locket, Ashton has been flirting with Arianna, even though he knows Luke Has feelings for her. While all of this is happening people are disappearing around the school and nobody knows why. What Are Ashton’s intentions? Who will she choose? What are the disappearing about?
