His teachers announce a mandatory field trip to New York City that will force him to mentor a fourth-grader, and he hates it. Kids always hate him, and he hates them back. When the kid he's supposed to mentor seems determined to befriend him, he wonders if going through the trouble of getting excused from the trip is worth it. The kid isn't scared of him, so maybe things will be fine? Although, he does seem to be hiding something . . .
