Schlatt's life was going okay. He had a nice job at a cafe near his apartment and his coworkers didn't suck. Plus he had a pretty cool boyfriend who he worked with. All in all, it wasn't terrible. That was until dead bodies started cropping up. Even worse, most were people he had bumped into. And Schlatt's boyfriend seemed completely unbothered. What the hell was going on?!

Tommy has been feeling off lately, and his friends notice his change in behavior. Tommy feels so wrong in his body, some could call it self hatred. He notices how different he feels in feminine clothing, how happy it makes him. This doesn't mean anything, right?

Technoblade Minecraft is the only eighth-grader who has no friends and likes it. The closest thing to a friend he has ever had is probably his twin brother Wilbur. His teachers announce a mandatory field trip to New York City that will force him to mentor a fourth-grader, and he hates it. Kids always hate him, and he hates them back. When the kid he's supposed to mentor seems determined to befriend him, he wonders if going through the trouble of getting excused from the trip is worth it. The kid isn't scared of him, so maybe things will be fine? Although, he does seem to be hiding something . . .
