"But at least you know that nothing can hurt them anymore." The Elemental isn't an ordinary kid. She's isolated herself and made herself forget the names of everyone important to her. Why? She doesn't want to endanger them. At just eight years of age, she discovered strange powers that she was told to keep a secret. Over the next eight years, she found herself capable of more and more, until she blew her own cover trying to help people, was rejected, and disappeared. Her self-set life's purpose is to save a reluctant Earth. She made a name for herself in the course of a year, and was noticed by a team of people that the world recognized as heroes. Once with them, the Elemental has become a target of someone only she can truly destroy.

After the events of New York, Tony and Charlotte try to take some time off and relax. They create new suits and just enjoy each other's company, catching up with each other about the years they were apart. Until, a new threat arises and they're forced to fight again. Elaine Rhodes is the ever elusive Goddaughter of tech billionaire Tony Stark- carefully kept away from the limelight so that she could have a normal life- as normal as growing up with Tony Stark could be at any rate. Unbeknownst to her godfather, Elaine was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D straight out of High School. One of her biggest tasks as an adult had been juggling a super-secret spy organization and her incredibly nosy Godfather, and she was quite good at it too...he never suspected a thing- even when she had to leave the country for five years. A lot happened while she was away for those five years- her Godfather turned into Ironman, turned her father into War Machine, and helped thwart an alien invasion in New York. In doing all this, he had finally come face to face with S.H.I.E.L.D. Now that Elaine is back in the country, the charade is up, and she has the delightful job of telling her Godfather everything. She was planning on coming clean to Tony- no more secrets- until the presumably dead Phil Coulson contacted her.
