Because I want to eventually write stories that get sold in book stores (yes I'm old) I really want to learn as much as I possibly can from all of my writing. So please, don't hold back. This short story was written as part of a writing exercise for a fiction writing class I was in, where we needed to come up with a large, dramatic premise and then go very granular to write just one scene of that story, focusing on a moment of immense tension or conflict.
