What happens when an angel gets ousted from Heaven and a demon gets banished from Hell? The answer, obviously, is that they meet up in the human realm and move into a penthouse apartment together. Two best friends, the angel Azazel and the demon Zeno, are duty-bound to answer and carry out the requests borne from humans' prayers and summonings. However, their methods could not be more different - Zeno is conscientious, diligent and meticulous in the way he drafts contracts and makes deals. Azazel is... uh, simply put, she's a well-meaning, Goddamned menace to society. Join Azazel and Zeno as they navigate the human world and its problems, and as they define a friendship and bond almost as old as time itself.

They say everyone plans the wedding but no one plans for the marriage, a problem Sam Aaron contemplates as he cautiously considers new love in the wake of a failed marriage. Sam is a musicology student and the lead poet of the irreverent rock band Whacking Poetic. Out of the spotlight, Sam and his surgical resident wife Alex perform a perfectly rehearsed lifelong duet- she manages the rigid timekeeping while he provides the song and dance. Then, over the course of a single Halloween evening in 2005, Alex threatens divorce, the band's fame train gets derailed, and Sam meets Sarah Ashbury, a whimsical singer-songwriter that would soon join the band and upend Sam's understanding of love and artistic impact. Soon, Sam's marriage becomes a dissonant fugue while Sarah's mesmerizing voice and alluring persona quicken the band's tempo. Sam's world evolves through a sonata of emotions, the first movement a dirge of atonal uncertainty that comes with marriage failure. The second movement is a harmonically suspended chorale of new love that doesn't quite resolve, but instead collapses into the third and final movement, a crescendoing counterpoint of incompatible goals. ©2015 D.A. It was a dark and stormy night. And then it got complicated. And then a world ended, but at least we got to talk about it. A strange meta-narrative romp through imaginary worlds of dubious originality meets an exploration of what it means to tell stories, to read and to write.

Sophisticated virtual reality is something people would have said in the first half of 21st century. Now it's just called life. With the emergency of true A.I and an influx of people desperate to escape the mundane of the everyday, a perfect concoction was created and served to humanity as Eris World, or just Eris if you don't want to be pedantic about it. Ever wanted to actually live out your favourite video game fantasies? Sure, go for it. But you'd only be scratching the surface of what Eris offers. Full life simulation, create your world how you want it. Want to live as a normie and raise a family, totally achievable. How about instead of driving to work you fly to work? That family you're raising needs an education. Eris will provide. How better to understand the uselessness of the appendix than standing up against one in pure 8K goodness! It's a utopia. It's beautiful and it's all yours. It'd be remiss to neglect mention of the deaths, so there. Mentioned. ------ This is an ongoing short novel I am currently writing.

Hey, when's the last time you read the Bible, the entire Bible? Never you say? Not surprised. That would explain why you never knew the apostles could heal the sick and raise the dead just like Jesus. Or that Moses lead the Israelites on killing sprees to obtain the "promised land". Or that there is actually no such thing as "free will". If any of this intrigues you then you need to take a peek at my book, "He Said It, I Didn't - A Biblical Book Report Brooklyn Style". In short, "Brooklyn Style" means funny, irreverent, rude, informative, sarcastic and will make some of you downright mad. But at some point, you are guaranteed to say to yourself "you know, this heathen bastard has a point". And that's all I can pray for. 😉

Hi there! I am a 25 year-old writer from just outside of London in the UK. I'm no amazing writer, nor do I claim to be. However, I have been working on a book for a few years now, which is based on something very close to my heart. From the years of 2015-2018, I studied Film at Southampton Solent University, on the South Coast of England. Over the course of my time there, I had experienced the highs, lows and everything inbetween when it comes to being a student. Being someone of the sentimental variety, I felt sad that I would never be able to go back and experience it, as I did then. So, I thought that I would instead, write three books (one based on each of my three years), so that I could relive my past experiences. But why post it here, when it's pretty much just a diary? Well, I'm the kind of person who loves to read about other people's experiences, whether it be something I too have been through, or something I could never hope to experience. I am writing this for myself, to keep my mind busy, but also to show other people what my time at university was like. Maybe those who read this will have had similar experiences to what I had, which would be very funny indeed. Or, they could quite simply read this and take it for what it is. Either way, I don't expect a whole load of people to read this, but it is what it is! Thank you to whoever has/does read this!
