Hi, this is my first time writing a story. So if I'm bad at this that is why. I hope you like this story that was inspired by an anime you might know. It's called " the promised Neverland " it's one of my favorite. All of the cannon characters like Emma, Ray, Norman, Don, Gilda, Isabella, Phil, the demons, are not my own characters

Grace Field, a place that prioritizes the quality of the children that they raise. [Name] is just another face along the crowd, smart but not the smartest, just a regular kid growing up at Grace Field. A friendship blossoms, changing the way [Name] views everything. She had lived a normal life, until it was time to leave. Truths and Lies are exposed, failed promises are spilled out. Emotions are all over the place, as Ray, Emma, Norman, and [Name] develop new feelings. Love may even interfere in these feelings. Regret, and resent were [Name]'s final thoughts as she exits Grace Field, walking alongside her so called "mother". "There's no escaping, i just need to bare the pain." This is a story where Ray and Emma are mermaids, living with all their family in an orphanage taken care of by Isabella. Norman, on the other hand, is an investigator of marine life, and he has now been given the task of investigating a mermaid. What would happen when Norman's crew captures Emma? Leaving her alone, missing her family, and leaving Ray alone, searching for a million ways to get her back. Maybe he'll have to take some risks to find her and get her back, but he didn't care, as long as he could see that shining smile of hers again

As Emma Ray & Norman plot their escape, a mysterious man shows up at Gracefield uninvited. Our waifu Isabella slowly finds out who he is & why he's here. He reveals the human side of the world has been united under a new empire, & the Emperor is going to break the Promise & finish the war once & for all. This man is here to get the children to the human side before the emperor's forces ravage the land. He downplays himself as a secret agent on a rescue mission, but our waifu & Norman suspect he is much more than he's letting on. But they don't have much time. Thanks to his negligence he alerted security before he even got to the door. Will Isabella & the children be slaughtered now that they know the truth? Or does this man have a way to back up his smug bravado?
