Tom is a bad kid, and proud. He is in the twelfth grade. He plays what are considered sports for bad kids, basketball and football, with his friends. His only problem is school, in other words his mom; he gets failing grades. He never bothers to do homework, or any studying for that matter. But he gets a lot of things; girls, friends, popularity. And for now, it's all worth it.

Why is it that the humans can't see the most basic thing? NO ONE can understand what's there.. all the time.. in front of your eyes! No one sees what I can! Every time you fall in love, you lose a part of your soul to the person you love. Every time someone falls in love with you, you get a piece of their soul. You die when you run out of soul to give. History only knows of two immortals so far, one who never found love and the other who makes people fall in love with the, to purposefully extend their life.

This book is about a cheerleader (flyer) and two foot ball players (wide receiver and quarterback). The cheerleaders name is Gracen and the Indian kids name Tod. Tod introduced Gunner to Gracen. They are together. Tod has been through tough and easy times with Gracen. They are best friends. Gunner sits by Gracen, carry's her stuff, and worries about her. Gracen is being bullied bad. They try to overcome the virus and fight for their life, but is all of this chaos worth it?
