That's a short story about a muslim girl having her islamic marriage called nikkah. I wrote that story out of my love for a guy i met last year, because of him i felt true love...for some time, before he eventually left me forever. I used to write letters to him while he was gone for holidays, back in our country. I used to write every single day letters and that story is from one of these letters. That day I didnt feel like talking, i felt like i needed to express my patience of that day, my future nikkah. If you guys like that story let me know and if yall are interested in those letters, please lmk so i can post em as a book? Idk we'll see haha. Enjoy!

Thauba is 19. A little lazy, a little lost, and way too scared of marriage (even though rishta aunties are always lurking 👀). She loves K-dramas, journaling her overthinking at 2AM, and pretending everything's okay-even when it's not. She didn't grow up in a super religious home. But somehow, Allah started finding His way into her heart... through her friends, through her little moments of peace, and maybe, just maybe-through him. Rezaan. The calm one. The one who doesn't say much but somehow sees through it all. The one who suddenly appears in her life with a question she never thought she'd hear. Now her world's flipping, her heart's racing, and she's left wondering-can someone who's scared of love... still be written into a love story? A soft, emotional journey of faith, fears, and the quiet beauty of nikkah. Not your typical romance, but maybe... the kind your soul was waiting for.

"Six years of living together," she sniffed. "One would think we'd know each other in all this time." "I know you," I whispered. My eyes were begging her not to leave. "No. You THINK you do, Nadir." That was the last thing she said before she was gone, with my wailing children in tow. ___ Nadir may not say it often, but he couldn't really live without Zaeb. But then again, there are a hundred unspoken promises and silent conversations between couples who have been married for as long as they had been. Only when her charming - and significantly loaded - childhood best friend entered their lives did Nadir realise that he should start saying some of them out loud. ...But maybe it was too late. Ongoing | Slow updates © copyright Zainab Alam, 2018. / / I suck at story description. I promise the book isn't so bad!
