Read the story of Mattel's Barbie as the Island Princess. Some parts of the story have been changed and some parts have been expanded upon. Years ago a girl washed up on the shore of an island and was raised by the animals there. Even though she can't remember much of who she used to be, her days are full of adventure and fun with her friends until new arrivals from a far away place change her life forever.

Kaelana Summers is the daughter of a well known captain from the Caribbeans. They spend their time with their crew, traveling the world and sailing from port to port. But when they dock at a certain port, in the Kingdom of Vespera, her father makes a connection to the kingdom for trade, while she makes a connection to a young boy at the palace. But after forming an undeniable bond, she has to leave after just one night. Although she will continue to visit annually, their friendship growing but always being cut off when she has to return to the sea and he has to return to his duties. His true identity makes it even harder for them to spend the time they want together.
