The only new thing was that her father said he would retire after this last deployment, and with Sin finally being a legal adult, he leaves her and her sister by themselves (for the most part). After bumping into a girl, (the girl literally slamming into Sin with burning coffee in her hands) they find themselves going to the same school, and Sin starts feeling things when being around her.
