"Who are you?" Esme whispered. For a moment, she forgot she was just a lab worker at a corporate event. Just a pencil pusher, a beaker holder. She felt like he could see straight through her, his eyes a deep amber. In this lighting, she almost thought they looked red. She blinked. No, that couldn't be. The only reasonable explanation has to be the future, it just has to. But the question is... how? And, more importantly, how do I get home..?
